Creating an enterprise application

You can use the New Application wizard to quickly create an enterprise application. A reusable class structure, case types, data types, and organizational rules are generated, based on the information that you provide in the wizard.

You run the wizard in enterprise mode when your new application requires full access to the features in the Pega 7 Platform.

  1. In the Application menu, click New Application to start the wizard.

  2. Select Enterprise application from the list that is displayed, and click Create new application.

  3. Configure your application settings.

  4. Define business objectives.

  5. Add case types to your application.  

  6. Add data types to your application.

  7. Optional: Preview your application.

  8. Click Create to generate the application.

The new application becomes your current application in Designer Studio and your default access group is set to [Enterprise application]:Administrators. The Application Overview landing page is displayed so that you can review what was created.

Tip: Click the Switch to express mode icon in the explorer panel to develop your application in express mode.
